Burton U14 boys had a winning performance when we hosted three teams down at the Ellis on Sunday in the third tournament in the England tier 3 championships. They won, lost, won against Derby Ramgarhia, Derwent and Loughborough teams and showed great game management (hot topic @BHC) when needed. For some of the boys it was their first time playing in an organised game and it was great seeing the support they got from the rest of the u14s on and off the pitch with Burton coming second overall to Derwent.

A big shout out to Josh Bullock for stepping up and having a stormer in goal, Joe Mylrea for coming to support even with his collerbone injury, Brandon Logan for helping/cheering from the sideline, Chelsea and Jurgs for supporting with umpiring and all the parents who helped run the day and feed the whole of Burton hockey club for the next three weeks post match teas (that is a joke, the food is definitely now all gone).

Apologies for the delayed match report, was far too busy recovering from an all-hockey weekend. For all things U14 hockey, drop me a message on here or catch me on: https://tinyurl.com/VijaysLinkedIn
